Parachute rules
set the exit before you need it.

A Parachute is a rule a trader arms on a token: when it fires, PARACHUTE alerts and prepares a one-tap exit. The trader always reviews and signs the exit. Rules run in an open browser tab; there is no server that watches or trades.

01How a rule works

  1. WHENThe trader picks a trigger (below) and its number.
  2. SELLHow much of the position to sell when it fires.
  3. LAND INThe landing zone: ETH, USDG, or a stock token when the stock module is on.
  4. Slippage1%, 3%, 5% or 10% for the prepared exit.
  5. ArmThe rule is saved in this browser and the watcher starts checking it.

When a rule fires, the trader gets an alert (a browser notification if allowed, and an alert on the Parachutes page). Eject opens the prepared exit in the review sheet with the full cost breakdown. Nothing happens until the trader signs in their wallet. A fired rule stops until it is armed again.

02Triggers

TriggerFires when
LadderTake-profit steps armed together, for example "at 2× sell 25% of the position, at 5× another 25%".
Take-profitThe price reaches a multiple of the reference price.
Trailing stopThe price falls a set percentage below the highest price the watcher has seen since arming.
Price dropThe price falls a set percentage below the reference captured from a real quote when the rule was armed.
Creator sellsThe creator sells or moves tokens after the rule was armed.
Top holder sellsAny watched top holder's balance falls by a set percentage since arming. The holders and their balances are captured when the rule is armed.
Trust fallsThe Trust Score drops below a set number.
GraduationThe token graduates to its Uniswap v4 pool.

Price references come only from live quotes, never from a guess. Presets fill in the builder as labelled examples (Ladder 2× · 5×, Trailing 30%, Creator sells, Top holder exits, Trust falls below 40, Graduation); every number stays editable and no preset picks a landing zone for the trader.

03It needs an open tab

No tab, no watch

Rules run only while a PARACHUTE tab is open in the trader's browser, because there is no server by design. The watcher checks about every 12 seconds by default. The tab may be in the background, but browsers can slow down timers in background tabs, so checks may then come less often. If the browser or the computer is closed, nothing is watched. The Parachutes page says so and shows whether the watcher is running and whether notifications are on.

04Where rules are stored

In the trader's own browser (localStorage), keyed by wallet address. They are not sent anywhere and the operator cannot see them. A different browser or device has its own rules; clearing site data deletes them.

05What a rule never does

  • It never signs or sends a transaction. There is no auto-execution module in this codebase.
  • It never holds or moves funds. The exit is a normal swap that the trader reviews and signs.
  • It does not promise an exit price. By the time the trader signs, the price may have moved; slippage protection and the price-impact cap still apply.

06For operators

There is nothing to configure: rules need no server. The operator's read-only switch or maintenance mode also blocks ejects on your site (prices and alerts stay visible). Explain to your traders that a Parachute needs an open tab.
